Following a visit to the projects by our administrators and a request for support from the Muberere school center,

we again supported the municipality of Isare in Burundi.

With our local partner ASSAM we were able to strengthen the action already carried out in 2018 at the Muberure

school center. The project allowed the construction of new catchments to strengthen the flow of the

Isare-Muberure-Tenga supply network and the rehabilitation of the upstream network.

We also worked on securing the water points set up during phase I. To improve the sanitation of the center,

support was given to the Hygiene and Sanitation in the School Environment clubs and the drainage.

This second phase of the project enabled the construction of new catchments to strengthen the flow of the

Isare-Muberure-Tengaadduction network and the rehabilitation of the upstream network. We also worked

on securing the water points set up during phase I.

To improve the sanitation of the center, support was given to the “HAMS” clubs (Hygiene and Sanitation in the

School Environment) and the drainage. latrines for the 3 schools could be built.

The maintenance of the network is possible thanks to the supply of a maintenance kit to the municipal water authority.
